What is chart registration, and why does it matter?

Charts don't count what they can't identify. Registering your release's UPC with Nielsen SoundScan is the step that lets sales and streams of that release be tracked for chart reporting.

Skip it, and your numbers may not be counted where they could be. For independent artists chasing a first chart position, or labels managing a full catalog, it's one of the simplest things you can do to give a release a fair shot.

Why do it through HyDistro?

Because it's already connected to your catalog. Your artwork, UPCs and release status are all there, so registering takes one click instead of a stack of paperwork.

Tip: Register as soon as your release is approved, so it's already in place by the time your music goes live.
