Refund Policy.

1. Overview

At HyDistro, we are committed to providing reliable, high-quality music distribution services. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available, how to request them, and how they are processed.

Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase. By completing a payment on our Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

2. General No-Refund Policy

All payments made to HyDistro are non-refundable as a general rule. This applies to:

• Subscription plan fees (Starter, Pro, Label)
• Publishing registration fees
• Add-on purchases
• Chart registration fees
• Any other paid services on the Platform

We encourage all users to review available plan features and pricing at https://hydistro.com/pricing before making a purchase. Where applicable, previews or demonstrations are available before payment to help you make an informed decision.

3. Exceptions — When Refunds Are Granted

Notwithstanding the general no-refund policy above, HyDistro will issue a refund in the following circumstances:

3.1 Duplicate Charges

If you have been charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate amount in full. Please contact us within 14 days of the charge with proof of the duplicate transaction.

3.2 Technical Error on Our End

If a payment is processed successfully but access to the purchased service is not granted due to a verified technical fault on our end, we will either:

• Restore access to the service immediately, or
• Issue a full refund if the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe

3.3 Failure to Deliver Purchased Service

If HyDistro is unable to deliver a service you have paid for — for example, a distribution add-on that could not be processed or a feature that is no longer available — we will issue a full refund for that specific service.

3.4 AI Mastering

AI Mastering results are available for preview before payment is completed. By proceeding with payment after previewing the master, you confirm acceptance of the result. Refunds for AI Mastering are not available after payment unless the delivery fails entirely due to a technical error on our end.

3.5 Legal Requirements

Where a refund is required under applicable Nigerian law or any other law to which HyDistro is subject, we will comply with that requirement.

4. What Is Not Refundable

The following are explicitly non-refundable under all circumstances:

• Subscription fees where the service has already been accessed or used
• Publishing registration fees once registration has been submitted to rights organisations
• Chart registration fees once submission has been made
• Add-on fees where the service has been delivered
• Any fees relating to advance funding — these are governed by our advance funding partner's own terms
• Fees for releases that have already been submitted to streaming platforms

5. Advance Funding

Advances facilitated through our Platform via our advance funding partner are not covered by this Refund Policy. All advance-related terms, repayment conditions, and dispute resolution are governed exclusively by the terms and conditions of our advance funding partner. HyDistro is not responsible for any refund or dispute arising from an advance.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under one of the eligible exceptions in Section 3, please contact us at:

Email: support@hydistro.com
Subject: Refund Request — [Your Account Email]

Please include the following in your request:

• Your full name and registered email address
• The date of the transaction
• The amount charged
• The reason for your refund request
• Any supporting evidence (e.g. screenshot of duplicate charge, error message)

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If your request is approved, the refund will be processed within 7–14 business days depending on your payment method and location.

7. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction where possible. If that is not possible, we will work with you to arrange an alternative refund method.

8. Subscription Cancellation

Cancelling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for any unused portion of your current billing period. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, after which it will not renew and your account will revert to the Free Plan.

9. Plan Upgrades

When upgrading from one plan to another, the amount already paid for your current billing period is calculated and credited toward the cost of the upgraded plan. You are only charged the balance due. This credit is applied automatically and is not issued as a cash refund.

10. Disputes

If you believe you have been incorrectly charged or that your refund request has been wrongly denied, you may escalate your complaint to legal@hydistro.com. We will review all escalated disputes within 10 business days and provide a final decision.

HyDistro's decision on refund eligibility is final, except where overridden by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
